Back-Up Power Services provides AHCA-focused generator compliance services for surgery centers throughout Florida, helping facilities maintain reliable emergency power systems and organized documentation. We assist facilities with inspections, testing, reporting, and readiness reviews designed to support regulatory compliance and survey preparedness.
Our compliance-focused programs help surgery centers maintain the records, testing schedules, and maintenance practices needed to demonstrate proper emergency power system management.
A deficiency means a plan of correction, a follow-up visit and time your administrator would rather spend on residents and patients. AHCA generator compliance is about closing those gaps before the surveyor finds them.
Our compliance program helps your facility maintain the inspections, testing, and documentation typically reviewed during emergency power system inspections.

What does AHCA check on an emergency generator?
Surveyors review whether the emergency power system is inspected, exercised and load tested on the NFPA 110 schedule, and whether your records prove it: weekly logs, monthly load runs, transfer switch tests, load bank and fuel test results, and documented repairs.
How often does NFPA 110 require generator testing?
Weekly inspections, a monthly exercise of at least 30 minutes under load, an annual load bank test when monthly runs do not reach the required load, an annual fuel quality test, and a four-hour test every 36 months for Level 1 systems.
What are the most common generator deficiencies?
Missing or unsigned logs, load tests that were never recorded, untested transfer switches, no fuel quality report, and alarms or repairs without a documented corrective action.
Can you help if we already received a deficiency?
Yes. We inspect the system, complete the missing tests or repairs, and give you the documentation to support your plan of correction.
Do you work with nursing homes and assisted living facilities?
Yes. We maintain and test emergency generators for nursing homes, assisted living and memory care communities, and surgery centers across Central Florida.
Who keeps the generator records?
Your facility does, and we make it easy. Every visit ends with a written report, and we can organize your logs and test results so they are ready to show a surveyor.
How much does an AHCA readiness assessment cost?
The first readiness assessment is free. You receive a written list of gaps and a proposal for the maintenance and testing your system needs.
Do you provide 24/7 emergency service?
